12Fix Privacy Policy
Version 1.3
Effective date: 2026-09-21
This Privacy Policy explains how 12Fix handles information used to operate the marketplace for customers, workers, tool rental shops, and supply shops. If a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1. Who is responsible for this policy
12Fix is responsible for the 12Fix app and server features described in this policy. For privacy, personal-data rights, or account deletion questions, contact support@12fix.com or use the Help and Support section in the app.
2. Information we collect
12Fix may collect account details, contact details, preferred language, role, device and session information, identity verification documents, profile photos or face photos, certificates, licenses, work permit documents, shop documents, location details, request details, quotes, applications, payment slips, payout bank details, invoices, receipts, refund records, escrow records, chat messages, uploaded photos, videos, audio, support tickets, dispute evidence, notifications, ratings, reviews, promotions, and app activity related to marketplace use.
This includes performance and qualification information used to calculate Worker Levels, such as completed paid jobs, published customer reviews and ratings, provider-fault cancellations, refund and dispute outcomes, verification status, account restrictions, Worker Level history, and qualification calculations. To determine job-access eligibility and timing, 12Fix may also use Worker Level, account and approval status, service-category and job-area match, availability, safety and identity readiness, payout readiness, account restrictions, and user-block status.
3. How information is used
Information is used to create and secure accounts, verify users, prevent fraud, show nearby requests, protect exact locations before unlock, match customers with workers or shops, create quotes, review manual bank payments, manage payouts, create invoices and receipts, handle deposits and refunds, unlock chat, translate text, send notifications, provide support, resolve disputes, enforce rules, improve safety, maintain logs, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and platform obligations.
4. Worker Levels and automated use of information
12Fix uses rules and automated processing to calculate Basic, Bronze, Silver, and Gold Worker Levels from the performance and qualification information described above. It also uses automated processing to determine whether and when a worker is eligible to access a new service job. These results may affect promotion, a promotion pause, a grace period, a level cap or reduction, and job-access timing. A Worker Level does not guarantee work or earnings. Current qualification and access rules are shown in the app.
Workers can view their current Worker Level and progress in the app and may contact 12Fix Support to request correction of inaccurate information or help with a level-related question, subject to applicable law.
5. Permissions and device data
The app may request camera, photo, video, microphone, file, location, and notification permissions only when a feature needs them. Users can manage permissions in device settings. Some features may not work, or may need manual entry, if a required permission is not allowed.
6. Location privacy
Before a worker or shop is selected and the required payment step is complete, 12Fix may show only an approximate job area. Exact address details are shown only when the request flow allows that access. Location information may also be used for distance, delivery, pickup, support, safety, and fraud prevention.
7. Sharing inside the marketplace
Some profile, request, quote, rating, review, approximate location, timing, proof, and status information is shown to other users so the marketplace can work. Exact address, chat, payment, identity, and private document details are shared only when the app flow, support process, legal obligation, or safety need allows that access. 12Fix does not sell personal or sensitive user data.
8. Service providers and infrastructure
12Fix may use hosting, database, storage, payment review, email, notification, translation, monitoring, analytics, security, and support infrastructure to provide the service. These providers should access information only as needed to provide services to 12Fix and protect the platform.
9. Payments and payouts
Payment slips, payment records, payout bank details, deposit records, refund records, invoices, receipts, and related finance information are used to verify transfers, process payouts, manage disputes, prevent fraud, and keep accounting records.
10. Chat and translation
Chat text and request text may be translated into the receiver language when translation is enabled and the source and target language are different. Translation output may be stored in a translation cache. Photos, videos, audio, and non-text attachments should not be sent to text translation workers unless a future feature clearly explains that use.
11. Retention, deletion, and account deletion
12Fix keeps information for as long as needed for marketplace operation, security, fraud prevention, support, disputes, payment review, payouts, refunds, legal compliance, tax, accounting, and audit records. Users can request account deletion in the app. Some records may need to be kept, blocked from deletion, anonymized, or retained longer while jobs, payments, payouts, returns, disputes, support tickets, investigations, or legal/accounting obligations are still open.
12. User rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, receive a copy of, or withdraw consent for certain personal data. Users can contact 12Fix Support to request help with these rights. Some requests may be refused or delayed where the law, safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling, payment records, tax records, or another valid reason allows it.
13. Security
12Fix uses access controls, server-side checks, logging, and operational safeguards to limit access to sensitive data. No system is perfectly secure. Users should keep their login details private, keep their device secure, and contact support if they suspect account misuse.
14. Children
12Fix is not intended for children. Users must be old enough to enter into marketplace requests and payment-related arrangements under applicable law.
15. Updates and support
12Fix may update this Privacy Policy when app features, data handling, or legal requirements change. The latest version shown in the app is the version users review when creating or updating their account agreement.
